I have sound all the time but the picture comes and goes. I had horizontal lines along the bottom few inches of the tv for the last year or more.

@babarmirza since you said the pictures comes and goes, that could actually be the backlight turning on and off due to failing and overheating backlight strips. Let us know how long the screen stays black. If it is long enough, then you could try and shine a flashlight beam at an angle against the screen. If you can still make out your images then you know it is the backlight strips.
It is also possible that this is a bad panel. Based on the horizontal stripes. Horizontal stripes are always caused by a failed GATE driver which are considered part of the panel.
