Will a Touchpad Replacement Fix My Floating Cursor?
I often have problems with my cursor floating away either up or down. I've confirmed that it is a hardware issue by watching it happen in the UEFI firmware.
In my research, people have seemed to suggest that it has to do with humiditiy. Would a touchpad replacement help in this regard? I'm sure that there's no liquid inside, though I suspect the previous owner might have spilled something on the laptop previously and now there is a residue that acts up now and again.
The problem seems to come and go.
