Wifi not working and not connected

This can be caused by a lot of things. There are a few things that we can try.

First, is your router plugged in and turned on? Your router is a box with cables connected to it with lights on the front.

Second, on the back of it, there should be a cable connected to the back of your router in a port that is usually labeled “ONT WAN”, or “Broadband”. The port should also have a light on it.

There should be a few lights on the front or top of your router. The ones that should be on are the power light (it looks like an circle with a line), broadband (mine looks like a squiggly line, but yours could be different) and Wi-Fi signal broadcast light (looks like a dot with several curved lines above it), and finally, an internet connection light that looks like a circle with a bunch of horizontal and vertical lines running through it.

Last, is Wi-Fi enabled on your phone? You can check this by going to settings (swipe up from the home screen and tap the gear icon on your phone)-> Connections (it should be the first option)-> tap on Wi-Fi and select your network( you can usually find your network name (SSID) and password on a sticker on your Wi-Fi router.
