Why does the battery drain so fast?
After replacing the battery on my 2018 MBP 15'', I found that if the adapter was not plugged in, the battery would drain so fast even without any work running on it. Any advice is appreciated.

From the image you posted it looks like the battery lasted somewhere around 9 to 10 hours on a full charge cycle. Is that accurate? Was the device being used during that time? It does drop off quickly though within the first few hours. Things you can try—check your system for any power-hungry processes using Activity Monitor, reset your power management settings in the Terminal using the command "sudo pmset restoredefaults", make sure you put the new battery through a full charge cycle to calibrate it, check the new battery health with CoconutBattery. If the new battery seems faulty I would contact the supplier you got it from to see if you can get a better quality replacement. Good luck!

Thank you Zach. I am confused that the picture showed that the battery started the draining process at 5am and lasted till 3pm when I found the touchpad cannot be pressed. Actually the computer was running nothing and the adapter was plugged in! I do remember I didn't get up at 5am to unplug the adapter and run any tasks.
I have never had this issue with the factory-installed battery even when I had to replace it (It never drains till dead when the touchpad cannot be pressed). I got the new battery from iFixit and the capacity looks good with 7446/7000 mAh.
Thank you for your advice. I will try the power management setting.
