I have a Sony Umatic VO Video Player/recorder with an error code 02,when you load the tape. Cant play.

@wimcy we will need to know the exact model for your VCR. The error 02 is common for all of them. It is tape slack or excessive tape tension error. This could be an issue related to a faulty servo or even a faulty Tension Regulator Detector. Check something like this video and see if that works for you.
