Why is my phone not charging?

Have you tried using a different known working, compatible charger or charger cable or tried connecting the phone to a computer to see if it started to charge?

If still no good when trying the above, use a strong light and a magnifying glass to visually inspect the charge port to make sure that all the pins are there (5) and that they're straight and parallel and not bent, broken or missing.

Also check that there's no lint or other debris in the port enclosure, that may be preventing a good electrical connection to the charger.

If there is any debris lodged in the port enclosure do not use a metal pin or probe to try and remove it. Use a vacuum cleaner to get it out instead.

If the charge port appears to be OK try the following to check if the connector is loose from the systemboard:

Insert the charge cable into the port only, do not connect the other end of the cable to anything. Then holding the phone firmly in one hand, grab hold of the charge cable plug that is inserted in the phone with the other hand and gently, stress gently, try moving the plug up and down and side to side to see if you can feel any movement in the port at all.

If there is movement felt or even if not, the phone will need to be opened and inspected to find out what the problem is.

If the port is loose or faulty it may be easier to replace the charge port flex cable (supplier example only to show part). Search online for Oppo A37FW charge port flex, to find suppliers that suit you best.
