Ive got a 2310 which ive tried charging a HMD global made BL-5CB battery with a ACP-8E and ACP-7E charger, which displays a stop sign and the "Not Charging" text. Ive also tried it on some other nokia phones, some of them charges the battery as usual, some stop the charging and display the same text as before. How could i maybe solve the issue?

What is the model number of the original battery in the phone that presumably charged OK before it needed to be replaced?
Have read that the battery model used in the phone has to be replaced like for like e.g. phone that uses a BL-5CB battery won't charge a BL-5C battery, phone that uses BL-5C won't charge BL-5CA, even though it will work with all 3 batteries if they're already charged.

ive used many different types of nokia made batteries on the device before so i sadly do not remember, but i guess maybe a BL-5C. The same battery also charges on a 2600, but refuses to charge on a 1110i
I suppose the only way to know is to try a BL-5C and check if it charges OK on the 2310 phone as well as all the other Nokia phones you tried where the BL-5CB charged OK on some but not on others.
The only difference between the 3 battery models seems to be the capacity so perhaps this is checked somehow by the charging circuit idk

@jayeff the BL5C battery that i tried worked well on all phones, the new BL-5CB when plugged in started to beep the charging connected sound and flash for less then a second again and again until i pulled out the charger on my 1200 and also refuses to charge the battery
If the BL-5CB was new then hopefully you can get a refund on it as it is not compatible with certain models that you have, unless you keep it for the models where it does charge OK
