Greetings, Waref

A proper function vehicle should be drivable within the first 30 seconds of starting. If the vehicle has been cold or sitting I usually start the vehicle and allow the speed of the motor to reduce before i attempt to engage the vehicle into gear and begin driving. This does allow time for the car to adjust to the temperature start circulating its fluids and come to a reasonable RPM before putting it into gear.

I suggest getting in starting the vehicle and then proceeding to put on your seatbelt, put up your phone, put on your glasses adjust any mirror and temps in the car then doing a thorough mirror check before placing the car into gear. Those steps are more than sufficient to give your vehicle time to warm up before proceeding.

Cheers!!

Monte
