Touchscreen, Buttons and Sound not working except for new 3ds buttons
About 2-3 years ago my sound started to just turn off even if it's on max volume. When the volume stopped working the touchscreen and buttons soon followed. Only ZL,ZR Home and the nub work. Nothing appears to be damaged and even the sound is fine no popping noise at all. It seems that the sound is linked to touchscreen and buttons as everything stops working as soon as the sound stops.
I have read that it can be to do with the touchscreen and backscreen having too much dust and grime for the buttons. But I doubt it would be related to the sound stopping too.
It happens after 30-40 minutes of playing but due to its wear and tear can take up to 2 days to repair itself.

Is the 3DS modded? Is it up to date? Did your 3DS had water damage? Check all the ribbons cables first to see if they are still OK and connected. 2nd thing to do is to try a new touchscreen and see what happens. Could also be the audio IC which is failing. Afraid that it is motherboard related... But let's check the other components out first.
