You can't use external monitors to view BIOS as there are no drivers installed yet to connect it.
Once the laptop has booted into an OS you can use the function keys i.e. Fn + the designated external display key in the top row of the keyboard to switch the display to the external monitor so that you can use the laptop as per normal with an external display, but not to see the BIOS menus
The only way to view a BIOS menu screen is to get the laptop screen working or change it
