Why is my agitator not moving fast since I replaced the dogs?

I don’t know if this we’ll get answered. ButI need serious advice. However, I have an older model top loader washing machine that I just replaced the dogs in and I put her back together and the thing isn’t agitating like it did before I replaced those dogs. My clothes aren’t clean and I actually can’t look in because my door lock is actually under the top! It’s a nice washer that’s done me wonders, however I have been hearing a bit of a humming when it first started. But she still spins and times and goes through every cycle except that darn agitation! The top barely moves so I can’t imagine what the bottom is doing! But I’ve say I stuck my arms in the there and took the bottom agitator and moved it myself and it felt free. So I’m lost. Please please help me. I hope it’s not the motor!

Update (04/03/24)

Also I did just have to also replace the locking mechanism for the lord bc it wouldn’t drain or anything once I did that it started right back up.

Hi @jessicaschmit

Here's the tech sheet for the washer model that you selected.

Run the service diagnostic tests as shown on p.2 of the guide and check if any error codes are being shown that may give some idea as to what is wrong.

On p.3 there's a Fault/Error Code Display Method chart that shows how to interpret the status lights to know what the code (if any) is.

If there is a code being shown on p.6 → p.7 you will find the meaning and the possible reasons for the code to show.
