Hi @mon61085,
Has the remote worked OK with the LG TV before?
Try to disable the XD demo setting in the TV's Menu → Picture settings using the TV control buttons and not the remote.
Use the Program and Volume buttons to navigate through the menus.
Here's an image to show you where they're located in the TV.
