Replaced screen w/ifixit kit. Worked. Now overheated and won’t turn on
Replaced the screen with the ifixit kit. Fired up. Worked normal. Then, it was overheating when the phone was in use. Cool when not in use. Now the phone will not even start up.

It seems like there's an issue here with either your battery or vapor chamber. I'd suggest opening the cell phone and checking that both are in good condition, and neither are inflated AT ALL. If either of them are, replace the inflated part and any parts suffering burn damage or corrosion. Good Luck.
