Whenever I try to use the trackpad it dosent work and in device manager it says
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
A request for the HID descriptor failed.

Have you attempted to update the drivers for the trackpad through the Hardware Update Wizard?

yes, the drivers are up to date

@nathansand48147 I’m wondering if your trackpad became disconnected from your motherboard. Although without knowing the specific model of HP Pavilion, I won’t be able to find any specific guides for you.
