Laptop restarts on removing the power adapter

My msi gf 63 doesn't boot without a power adapter

but when I open the bios it runs on battery for about 6 7 hours (without power adapter)
But when I boot it to windows it then again shuts down after the msi logo (without power adapter)
When I remove the power adapter while running windows it restarts after 2 or 3 seconds

I've replaced the battery nothing happened
I reinstalled windows nothing happened

Service center people are crazy they say the mobo is faulty and for mobo replacement I have to give the price of the new laptop

Hi @roshanrathore

"When I remove the power adapter while running windows it restarts after 2 or 3 seconds",

Does it stay on after this, connected to the battery only or if not what happens then?

In bios it stays on battery for 6 or 7 hours

In windows it restarts after 2 or 3 seconds if I unplug it

Try booting the laptop with a "live" version of a Linux OS e.g. Ubuntu Lite

You don't have to install it just boot Linux from a USB stick and then check if it stays on while you use Linux in a trial mode off the USB.

Just trying to see if the problem is related to Windows only or not.

Have you checked that the latest BIOS firmware is installed as well just in case?

Also has the laptop gotten wet or been dropped at all?
