Hi @ayobolu
How long did you have the charger connected before trying to turn on the laptop?
If <15 minutes then leave it charging for ~1-2 hours and then after this time, check if it turns on with the charger still connected.
If it does turn on OK create a battery report to check the condition of the battery in the laptop.
When you have the report, compare the Design Capacity value versus the Full Charge Capacity value. For a good battery they are nearly the same value.
You can work out as a percentage the condition of the battery by using the formula Full Charge Capacity value x 100 ÷ Design Capacity value.
If the percentage is <40% you may wish to consider replacing the battery.
If you decide to replace the battery here's the owner manual for the laptop that will help.
Go to p.11 to view the procedure to remove/replace the battery. Search online for J60J5 battery to find battery suppliers that suit you best.
