I accidentally detached this part of my PS2. How do I reattach it?
A couple months back, I was working on my PS2, which has had disc reading issues for a while. I took it apart to hopefully fix it, but from the looks of it, I only made things worse. Apparently, I detached one of the parts, and I don’t think I have what I need to reattach it. My best guess is that I’d need to solder it back together, but I don’t currently have one of those tools.
As foolish as it sounds, I’m gonna try to fix this thing on my own, since I don’t know where to get it fixed, and I might as well learn how to do it myself. I don’t think there’s any repair shops near me, and I have a cousin who repairs electronics, but he backed out of fixing my PS2, so I’m on my own from here. I have a slight idea of how things work, so I think that’s enough knowledge for me to do it on my own.

I just realized that the picture I uploaded is probably too low-quality to make out what it is. From the looks of it, it’s a ribbon cable attached to the part of the laser that slides up and down. There’s 4 prongs at the bottom, and they look like they’re supposed to be attached to the solder blobs at the bottom of the motherboard.
