How to solve an issue with a 2005 Nissan Sunny. When you come to a stop while in Drive (D) with the brakes applied, the car shakes and the RPM fluctuates for about half a minute. Here's some information from the Nissan Sentra 2005 repair manual that may help. I think that the Sentra was the North American equivalent of the Nissan Sunny that was sold in other countries, so hopefully it is relevant to your model.
If the above procedures don't resolve the problem, get the vehicle's OBDII port scanned for any DTC codes. If there are any they may help to know what's happening with the engine at idle.
