my phone works when i plug it into the charger but if i unplug it emmediatelly switch off.
it looks as if i am using a laptop with no battery in it, to use the laptop i always have to plug the charger otherwise it shuts down.

It sounds like it could be a battery issue, but on a phone this new it seems unlikely that it would fail so quickly. At this point I would be trying to check the charging port first for problems; does it say it's charging when you plug it in?
How long have you had the phone? It should have at least a one year warranty, so it may be worthwhile to check with Samsung as to whether this can be repaired under warranty before you start digging into replacement parts.

I have a similar issue, but my Z Fold 4's outside screen is not working even when plugged in.
I brought it to Samsung and they are replacing the main board under warrenty.
I'd suggest you to take a backup with Samsung Switch on a PC and head over to Samsung. Not sure where you're from but in the Netherlands we have 2 years of warranty which means this is fully covered.

thanks, when i plug it it starts charging
(shows the circle with 85%) when i switch it on it works, i can use it as ussual, unles i try to unplug it.
yes i have been using it almost for a year.
