Please confirm the full model name of the laptop as there are a lot of models having the W840AU model number and their specifications aren't all the same.
Try connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check if there's a display on it coming from the laptop.
If there is a display on the external monitor, then try shining a flashlight at an angle close to the laptop screen and check if you can see any images at all on the screen. They will be very faint, so trying this in a darkened room may help to see them.
If you can see images on the laptop screen, then there is a screen backlight problem in the laptop. Either a faulty backlight power circuit on the motherboard, a faulty video cable between the motherboard and the screen or a faulty screen.
If you can't see any images on the laptop screen, then it is either a faulty video cable between the motherboard and the screen or a faulty screen.
If there's no display on the external monitor then either you haven't pressed the correct function keys to extend the display to an external monitor from the laptop or the laptop hasn't started i.e. hasn't passed POST (power on self test) after you turned it on

I hope you can help - we sent a help request a while ago with no reply - our Celvo laptop when I discrete mode boots up with a blank screen or boots up and then the screen blanks out, the computer is still on. When we turn on MS Hybrid the the PC boots and the screen works but then the GTX 1070 is not picked up we noticed that when connecting an extra screen via HDMI cable it does not pick up the screen, we have tried multiple cables that do work on other devices - the laptop also restarts randomly while in discrete mode, we did reformat and install new Win 10 just to see if that would help but no luck nkp650rsg006joo153
What is the model number of the Clevo laptop?
Is the number you posted the motherboard model number?
When Win10 loads presumably with a display OK, it doesn't show the GTX1070 in Device Manager is this correct?
Have you checked that it is enabled in BIOS?
