Hello,
I want to try do an experiment if it’s possible.
I am wondering if I can swap the battery from the 2022 model into my 2020 model. Since the newer model has better mAh / battery capacity.
I know the connectors are different but could it work if I were to spot weld the BMS board from my original battery on to a replacement battery from the newer model ? Can’t find any higher capacity batteries for my phone since most are a scam.

If you spot weld it and you know how to do it good i don't see their being a problem but be careful you need special equipment for this repair

Which equipment are you talking about if I can ask for some advice if I am missing something
First check if the voltage and ampere input and output of the batterys are the same then you are ok to move forward just know that apple is trying so hard for you not to be able to fix your battery so you will need a special device to read your battery go here he knows more than I do https://youtu.be/EWCnGhlJJzg
