Dear Stephen Opoku,
To test it, connect your laptop to a monitor or TV using VGA or HDMI. Alternatively, you can purchase a replacement screen for your laptop and change it yourself. Another option is to use your laptop with a VGA or HDMI connection.

@stephenopoku by changing the content of the question, you are creating confusion with the answers. If you need to add something or want to know more, make use of the comments. Please do not edit your question to change it to something completely different. Your original question was that you could hear the sound but could not see anything on the display. The Answer provided by @kaleb88022 lead you to the HDMI/VGA part. If you read the Answer now, it is irrelevant to what you edited the question too. Sure, you are allowed to modify the HDMI socket.
