Mac mini waking to orange screen with blue progress bar

Hello I have 2014 Mac mini running macOS 12.6.8, it's connected to a hp monitor via HDMI, previously the system has woken to orange or yellow screens with a blue progress bars, it was suggested that the Mac wasn't cooling adequately during sleep. I have now have put the system on a horizontal stand, I woke up the system this morning and it woke to the same orange screen with a blue progress bar, the progress bar gets halfway then the Mac desktop appears.
