Bluetooth stopped working, should I switch to wired controllers?

hey, a few weeks ago my extension messed up the power connection to my ps4 and caused fluctuation, the fuse is fine and the ps4 is operating, but the controller isn't connecting via bluetooth, it does charge but I don't really have a proper wire either. I'm looking to buy a wired controller, specifically a steelplay metaltech wired one, on account of this one being old too. any thoughts? should I do this to avoid a full on checkup?
