Can a standard ATX power supply be used with an xbox series X?
The xbox series x employs a 10 pin connector. I've seen that you can get 24 pin female to 10 pin male adapters would this allow you to use a PC power supply?
Using a 24-pin PC power supply to a 10-pin Xbox Series X adapter is technically possible, but not recommended for a few reasons:
While a 24-pin to 10-pin adapter may physically fit and supply power, it is not guaranteed to work properly or safely with the Xbox Series X in place of the official power supply. The console has very specific power needs that a generic PC power supply may not meet reliably.

While a agree that there should be caution when doing anything like this to avoid damage. I want to know if it is possible. I'm trying to find more technical information for example the pinout arrangement of the 10 pin header in the xbox series x. My reason for asking this question is because the Xbox series x power supply seems to be made from cheap materials and not reliable my second reason is for testing purposes to create a test bench for parts in order to test and repair them with a reliable power set up. Thank you.
@stephencadden post a picture of your board with this " the 10 pin header in the xbox series x" showing. We can possibly shed some light on this.
