How do I install my graphics card on my HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF?
Hello!
I want to install my NVIDIA GeForce GT630 on my HP EliteDesk 800 G1 SFF (Small Form Factor), but I'm having trouble with installing it, even removing the back panel of the computer.
I tried to look up a manual, which lead me to an HP manual about disassembling the computer, but nothing about removing the back. The manual also mentioned about how to install them, but the graphics card is too big to slot it in from the back or from the top (with the back panel still intact) I thought about removing the white thing that's on the graphics card so I can remove the fan via unscrewing the screws that keeps it intact, but I'm afraid that I'll damage the connection.
I tried looking elsewhere on the internet, but I couldn't seem to find an answer to my problem.
Some answers would be very nice and helpful, please. Thank you!
-- EDIT 1 --
Apparently, the card that I have is too tall. Judging by the size of the graphics card seen in the video you provided me, the graphics card that I have is too tall to install from the top due to the small tall piece that says "RMN : AROWANA" on the card.
I could try to disassemble the back panel or even most of all of the computer, but since I'm a newbie at installing computer parts like these as well as repairing and dissembling as a whole, I'll have to resort to buying a different graphics card if I want to install it with ease. That's how I believe and feel at the moment, unless there's better solutions, but I doubt there's one from what I know.
For reference, at your leisure, here's the back of the computer and the PCIe ports.
So, at the moment I'll buy a graphics card just like the one in the video so I can install it with ease.
