Why is my laptop stops saying getting ready

Usually if Windows is indicating it is “Getting Ready” it is finalizing the install of an update, or it’s just getting everything set for you to long in. It may hang in this “Getting ready” state for a little while.

Usually waiting will get this to resolve, but if it does not you can try to shut off your computer (long press the power button and hold until any signs of power to the patchiness have disappeared. Power back up and see if that helps. If not, there are things to try, but we can cross that bridge when we get there.
