Monitor too bright, colors washed out, showing some kind of grid

My Philips 243v5lhsb00 Monitor looks very bright, even though the brightness is set very low. Colors look washed out like i´d see everything through a white filter. Black is more grey-ish.

Also it shows something like a grid which makes it seem like all pixels are very big. There are also pixels where the pictures are very bright that show the wrong color. For example purple pixels where it should be white.

This happens with all input options and different test-devices.

I tried to connect it to my pc and lifted it gently from horizontal to vertical and the "white filter" started to appear on different spots and flickered a bit. At a certain point the picture was perfect again. I laid it back down and the problem occured again.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the monitor?

Here you can see, that black appears grey

In the red circles you can see, that the picture is a little bit darker on some spots of the screen. This appeared while i tilted the monitor and the lines moved across the screen.

Here are Pictures from the Boards:

And here is a picture that covers the whole screen. The black lines and purple pixels don´t appear right now but i think you can get a good idea of what i mean with "grid over the screen"

Also here´s a picture of my second screen for comparison:

Here are pictures of the board attached to the panel:

@schwoin let "see" what it looks like. Post some good pictures with your QUESTION. You will have to edit it to add the images iFixitでの質問に画像を追加する方法

You know that based on this " a certain point the picture was perfect again. " we are going to ask you to remove the back cover from your monitor and to let us see the boards. This maybe simple like a bad LVDS cable or as complicated as a bad Gamma IC

Thank you for the fast response!

I added some pictures to make more clear what i mean.

@schwoin not sure what voltages you measure but this looks like a Gamma IC error. Since we can only see snippets its hard to evaluate. Would be great if you show a complete screen. The only other real issue that is confusing right now are the darker lines you've pointed out in your second picture. Those are usually caused by the driver boards. LEt see the rest of the boards. Both sides if possible. Careful with the LCD driver board, it is only attached by those thin ribbon cables.

Gamma IC sounds possible to me because everything is so bright.

I thought it´s probably a wire because the screen was ok when i tilted it to a specific position. But i can´t recreate it to make it work again and also wiggled with the wires and nothing changed.

I just updated the pics, hope you can find something i couldn´t.

@schwoin boards look good (not that that means anything :-) but at least no blown components etc. that I can see. can you easily get to the board that is connected to your LCD panel? If you can, post some good pictures of that as well. I wonder if your panel has that IC on that (LCD Driver) board

Your panel an AOC TPM236H3 panel?

@schwoin here is the image I have, just so that we are on the same page :-) Let's see if we can find out what is going on. You will need a multimeter and let's see if we can make head and tails out of this board without schematics. Eventually you will have to flip yours over, but just make sure that the ribbons stay connected and save.

Alright i flipped it over, uploaded a picture of the complete board and my multimeter is ready

I spent a lot of time doing some more research on the ics.

And the result is pretty... disappointing.

I found out, that the I2111 is an IML2111CL-TR, couldn´t find a datasheet but it´s labeled as "LCD Chip".

I´m not sure about the IML7979 but it seems to be something similar to the IML2111.

The GT416A seems to be a serial eeprom.

Can you maybe give me some tips on how to find more information about the ics and maybe something where i can find how monitor boards are typically constructed? I mean which parts there usually should be on a board?
