Wi fi, Bluetooth and Network Problem

Hi all, I have an iPhone 3gs 32 GB, Software unlocked. It was working great when it suddenly showed no network. I took it to the local repair guy and he told me that there is no solution for this as of now and that apple will release a bug fix for this. My phone is currently running on iOS 4. He told me that my phone is not showing IMEI, not able to connect to bluetooth and Wi-FI and that it,I should wait for a fix from Apple. I want to know if it is true, and that if there is any solution to this. The phone otherwise works great, except that there is no network.. :-\

Also, the phone keeps restarting. I looked around this site, and noticed a few people with the same problem, but no solution.. :\

Try hooking into iTunes and see if there is an IOS update.

Dear John, the phone is jail broken with software. I do not wish to update via iTunes.

Yup, if the jail break is out dated, and no service, you'll probably have to factory reset and go legit with a carrier. Not knocking what you do with your device, it's yours and nobody elses business.

If your not using the phone service I would sell it and just get an iPod Touch to use for browsing the web - running apps - taking photos, or, if you want the freedom to root your device maybe look into a droid.

There are a lot of great techs here and maybe you can find a work around for your specific issue ~ warmest regards ~

Hey John, I am a beginner when it comes to jail breaking. What does an outdated jail break mean? Is there any other solution to fix my phone because, I cant go legit with my carrier as there are only 2 legit carriers here in India (Aircel and AirTel) and mine is Tata Docomo. Hence, kindly let me know if there is another way to get this phone to work.?
