Phone display not working without any previous accidents

I recently went to a family member's house and charged, Left it there and tried opening it later and had no response at all, I fully charged it and heard the vibrations and sounds completely working, Shined a flashlight on it and saw no imagery, Everything else pretty much works except for the display, What could have happend?
