Why does my pc turn on but my monitor says no signal?

I just built my pc when I turned my new pc build on the Rgb and the fans turned on and everything look like it was on. Except I noticed that my monitor said no signal I have the usb with the windows plugged into the back of the motherboard. I have built a pc before that works perfectly fine and this has never happened before. I tried to get another usb with windows on it and it still did not work there was still no signal on the monitor. I even tried to unplug and reconnecting all the wires form the power supply I compared the cords to my good working pc. that did not work either. I tried to even reinstall my graphics card and still there was no signal. I reconnected the pc to another monitor which did not work it still said no signal. I have no clue what to do if you have any tips on what to try I'm all ears.

I just remembered that I did turn on the pc without the usb with windows on it. I put the usb in after it was on i don’t know if that could cause the no signal. If it does cause the no signal what do you think I should do next.

What is the make and model number of the motherboard, the CPU, the GPU card, and the type and the amount of ram?

You should be able to get a display by going into BIOS on startup regardless of whether you have an OS installed or not.

With most PCs you press either F2 or Del to get into BIOS. If you don't see the motherboard maker's logo on startup it may mean that the PC is not passing POST (Power On Self Test) so that it can boot into the OS

Try connecting a system speaker to the appropriate header pins on the motherboard and check for any beep error codes when starting the PC. The code will tell you what's wrong.

The motherboard manual will show you where to connect the speaker to. It is usually known as a system speaker or buzzer in most manuals.

If you do hear a beep code then search online for (insert motherboard maker's name) beep error code to try and find out what the code means.

The motherboard is Msi mag B550 tomahawk max Wi-Fi. The cpu I have is ryzen 5 5600x with the stock cooler. The graphics card is GeForce Rtx 3050 gaming oc 8G.

Depending on the BIOS here are the beep codes

You never said how much ram was installed.

If only the one module make sure that it is in slot DIMMA2. If two modules then slots DIMMA2 and DIMMB2

Your motherboard should have some LEDs along the right edge, towards the top corner that will be labelled EZDEBUG.

Are any of those lit? If you're getting all the way to the bottom one, that's good because that means it's booting. But my guess is you're not. Without even using the speaker, which can provide more details this might give you a better picture of the issue.

My money is on your motherboard doesn't fully support your CPU. Yet. The thing with 5th gen Ryzen CPUs and 500 series chipset motherboards is that they were not released concurrently. The B550 chipset was released before this with Ryzen 3XXX model processors. So the BIOS on your board may not support your CPU.

According to the docs you need at least version 7C91vA7 which is well beyond the initial BIOS version. If you have a spare flash drive and another PC you can update the BIOS using the BIOS flash button on your motherboard. You can find directions in your motherboard manual as well, but I find that can be a bit sparse on the details.
