What device are you running Windows on? Exact Make and model number please.

It is about correctly interpreting the information.

Your device is using shared RAM for the video. I can see from your photo that you haven't installed the proper driver for your video. You are just using Window's basic default driver called"Microsoft Basic Display Adapter".

@aactech I'm using the HP envy 15t-3000

@aactech I also have the Intel® HD graphics 3000 but I have a brightness problem when I changed it to that I can't adjust the brightness that's why I'm using the Microsoft basic display adapter but the Intel graphics also have the same problem with the vram

@vybzonline

How much ram is installed in the laptop?

It seems a s though there may be only 4GB.

Win 10 works best with 8GB+

According to this supplier it has 2 slots and can support 16GB i.e. 2 x 8GB DDR3L - 1600 SODIMM ram

May be worthwhile to increase the ram to at least 8GB

Have you checked in BIOS to see if you can allocate more memory to the GPU? Maybe look under Advanced menu > GPU or video perhaps.

@jayeff I have 8GB of RAM and can I get the steps in checking it?

You don't say what the results are from running the HP Diagnostics. If no problem from diagnostics, I am curious, what performance or other issues are you having ? You mentioned "Brightness". Have you tried "Change brightness for the built-in display", one screen back from the "Advanced display settings" in the photo you posted? It also has the setting for "Night light".

Your system is just using "Shared RAM" from the system RAM - no dedicated video RAM. For example my HP Elitebook 8570P, with correct graphics driver, has:

Total Available Graphics Memory: 4864 MB

Dedicated Video Memory: 1024 MB

System Video Memory: 0 MB

Shared System Memory: 3840 MB

So 1024 + 3840 = 4864 MB RAM

With no settings in the BIOS to change it. Personally I would prefer NO dedicated VRAM as it is soldered in and system RAM is easy to replace.

It is just how your system is configured by HP as @jayeff explains. Every manufacturer has their own unique way of setting systems up.

I wanna play 1 game which is Efootball 2020 but I'm getting 0fps I don't know if it has something to do with the vram

Hi @vybzonline

I see where you got the VRAM from:

https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cy...

2048 MB VRAM seems to be the minimum required

VRAM is generally faster than system RAM.

Sorry but it looks like you may be out of luck. Any one else know any better?

@aactech I will try the other suggestions to see if it works

Well I will suggest you to update your graphics driver to the latest version, and install the latest OS updates.
