Optical Drive Latch Locking Screw
im replacing my dvd rom on my Dell Latitude E6400, i noticed i need a screw for latching lock, i know its a 2.88 phillips screw but i looked it up theres different metrics and millimeters.. can somebody please direct me to the correct screw i need?
What is the DVD model number? Where do you get the "2.88" from. 2.88 what ?

i saw the replacement on ifixit website and it says 2.88 phillips screw. the model number is UJ892

Hi @chris fetter I saw the 2.8mm. The blog link wouldn't work for me. The M2x3mm looks likely. If I were you I would just purchase a small assortment of metric screws and gently try until one fit.
