wireless (Qi) charging coil installation
i'm having to rebuild my 8+. the back got severely damaged and needs to be replaced. i got a back case kit which has all the small parts already installed (flash, antenna, speaker, charging port, etc.) so all i have to do is move over the motherboard and cameras then put the screen on.
the problem is that the wireless Qi charging flex was not installed into the case. and with parts that have adhesive, if you don't line it up just right, it's a major PITA.
I just recently replace the charger port on an IP7 and despite my best efforts, the lower cable connector was not aligned with the motherboard socket by less than 1/2mm, yet it was enough to not allow the plug into the socket. i had to unstick and restick the flex cable to the back case 4 times before i got it close enough to mate, but now the taptic thumper is in hyperactive drive, practically every action include a taptic response -most specifically, the volume control. fortunately everything else works so this is just a minor annoyance, but it is an annoyance nonetheless.
so, given the level of adhesive stuff on the back of the wireless Qi charging coil, i'm a but apprehensive about making sure to get it lined up right to mate with the logic board.
any and all advice on how to get this right the first time would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
