Can I put a higher mAh battery in an iPhone 8 Plus?

I was going to buy the new iPhone 14 Pro Max because my phone is so old and the battery capacity is at 79% (I have tried my best to not let it die over the years). Honestly though, I was thinking about it and my iPhone 8 Plus still works great. It is not slow at all and I don't really need any of the new features of the latest models (I rarely take photos and my GF uses her iPhone 13 for photos anyway).

Anyway, could I use a much higher mAh battery in an old iPhone 8 Plus? Something that matches the mAh of the latest iPhones? If so, where can I purchase reliable batteries that actually have the mAh capacity advertised? I know many batteries overstate their capacity. Thank you for reading and I appreciate any help!

@fefeolmedo you really can't because of the battery connector and the physical size. I would get a good quality replacement battery and that really should work well enough for your iPhone. The more bells and whistles the iPhone gets the greater the need for bigger batteries. If you use your 8 Plus as intended a normal battery will be sufficient for a few more years of reliable service. iPhone 8 Plus Battery
