Battery Connector Temp Sense Pads?

Hi there, I was wondering if the temp sense pads/tracks are essential to charging, powering and/or turning on the phone.

I am currently facing a similar situation as this (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/help-...), where the battery connector has been burnt off.

Thank you.

Edit: The smaller, slimmer pins/pads could be generally known as signal pins. I'm asking about the middle four pins of the female component.

Burnt off? By what? Any pics of the board?

@strongbow it's this same pcb, just checking whether the 4 centre pins/pads are required; can't seem to find the Note 20 Ultra boardview Battery Power Connector Burnt Repair

@zacksg I'd say they're required. They wouldn't be there if they weren't. You might be fighting a losing battle.

The temp sensor is located on the wireless charging coil on these devices. If that sensor isn't connected or can't communicate with the device, it won't charge but it should still turn on as long as there aren't any other damage.

@hootonberg Do you happen to know what are the smaller slimmer pads at the battery pin connector for then?

さんによる

@zacksg my guess would be to communicate with the BMS board attached to the battery. There may be an additional temp sensor in there. But the BMS will monitor voltage, charge cycles, current, etc.
