Why is my phone not charging

Well, we'll start with the bad news and get that out of the way. On your phone the charging port is mounted directly on the motherboard, so medium range soldering skills will be required if you want to replace it yourself. That's about where I would rate my own soldering skills, so personally this is something I would attempt, but if you're new to soldering this might be a repair to leave to the professionals.

That being said, if you feel like you're up to the job, it is a relatively straight-forward repair. I wasn't able to find any step-by-step instructions like they have here on iFixit, but there are videos out there that take you through the process from beginning to end. Here's one example I found; personally I would do the desoldering differently than they did, but their method worked so it's hard to argue with.

And of course you'll need a replacement port; that wasn't hard to find either. Here's just one example I found on AliExpress; of course you can check other places like Amazon or eBay; there were a couple in India that I ran across as well.

There's apparently a speaker you have to desolder two wires from to remove the motherboard, which should be fairly easy. Once the board is out of the phone, I would personally use a solder vacuum to pull the solder from the mounting pins and free them up, then heat the electrical connectors at the back to release them. I've done similar repairs on charging ports and audio jacks and it doesn't require microsoldering expertise to accomplish these repairs. Just make sure when you're done that you don't have any solder bridges across the electrical pins and you should be good.
