iPhone 8 housing gap in top and bottom

Recently i purchased a iphone 8 which in brand new condition (actually a demo unit for apple) It was quite new with the look and also the battery is at 98% Then a couple of days ago I saw this gap between the housing and the display on TOP & BOTTOM of the iphone 8. i don't weather is it normal in this model or it is a indication of a issue with the housing or the battery bulging Through the gap in the bottom is not much, i mean it's visibly there but the gap on the TOP is much like there is a gap with the same size of a FINGERNAIL.

Gap where? Between rear chassis and screen? If so and on the left side it probably is a swollen battery.

Agree with Nigel. There's only one thing inside the iPhone that can deform the screen like that, and it's the battery when it swells. The top is worse than the bottom for the simple reason there are screws in the bottom holding it down. I strongly suspect if you take out the two bottom pentalobe screws, you'll see the bottom will then match the top in its deformity.

Definitely time to open it up and replace that battery before things get worse.
