keurig not forcing water through when cup is insterted

when cup is not in water will flow...however doesn't seem to be forced through...just kinda gravity taking effect. When cup is inserted, the water doesn't make it through at all and machine freezes up

I had this issue as well. Ran the vinegar thru ended up having to unplug and reply to get that 2nd cup going on vinegar, then ran second vinegar, then by the 3rd water rinse it was working to stay plugged in. But when I add a cup in it, it's like just flowing thru, dripping, now only 2days after running vinegar I'm getting half very strong cups, and descale is on screen again.

I have descaled the 2.0 (two times in a row.....one using the Keurig solution, and again using vinegar. I have cleaned the needles with paper clips and cleaned the needles with the little orange attachment. The coffeemaker will run 10 ounces when there is no k cup......but, the water continues to leak a bit, even with no k cup installed. This is very frustrating.

I’ve got a similar issue, I descaled it last weekend and it worked fine for a week but now it brews but doesn’t force the water through at the end. The kcup stays full of water so when you open the top it starts dripping out. I’ll try running vinegar again I guess.

When the machine is working properly, there is a burst of air that empties the remainder of fluid in the k-cup. This stopped happening after a recent descaling. The result is a partially-empty K-cup that leaks the remaining coffee or tea after you open the machine in order to remove the used K-cup. I leave my coffee cup underneath to capture the additional coffee, but the machine is clearly missing a step before completing the cycle.

I’ve decaled the machine twice and also cleaned all needles (entry and exit), but I know the problem is with the missing air flow step or whatever that rush of steam is.

We are having this exact issue with our Keurig 2.0 I wish I had a solution to share.

Sounds like it needs a good cleaning with vinegar, could also be some blockage in the needle. Here's the link to Keurig's cleaning instructions:

I had the same problem, Descaled like mad but did not fix. I had to remove the top cover(two screws from underneath and then wiggle it off). There is a filter just before the hose that pumps into the K-cup. I had to remove it and take it apart and clean out grounds that were inside. That fixed it. Not the easiest thing to get apart. You have to slide a band down far enough to separate it and access the inside to clean. I remove two screws holding it down and took the hose off the back(cut the zip tie) to remove and clean it. Put it all back together and it worked like new.

If the needle is open then there may be blockage in the internal piping or pump unit. Blockage could be calcium scale buildup or even algae.

I removed the bottom metal plate and unscrewed the inlet port. I then blew into the inlet port and held my finger over the over flow into the water reservoir. In a short the blockage let go and flooded the counter top! But now it works as it should! Good flow.... remember to do this with the Keurig unplugged
