Brother PT-10; Looking for schematic or else help with power issue.

Got a Brother PT-10 that has worked fine for literally decades, until someone who shall not be named accidentally plugged in the wrong AC power adapter and now it doesn't turn on at all (either under batteries or AC power). I took it apart to see if there was any obvious damage (fried resistor or voltage regulator, for example) but it looks fine.

I cannot find an electrical schematic and quite frankly even if I had one it would take quite a bit of effort for me to fully understand it enough to troubleshoot it. Still, I know how to use a multimeter and soldering iron and would love to get this running again. Anyone know where I might be able to turn?

Can you put batteries or another source of power and measure from pin 1 to pins 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 on board B48J196-1 and record your findings here?

Thanks for your help.

With fresh batteries installed and from pins 2-6 respectively, the voltages (rounded to nearest tenth) are 7.6, 2.0, 8.6, 8.6, and 3.7.

@steve_g it looks like the board got hot on the (-) wire going to/from the battery. What does the other end look like? Where does it terminate ? See if you can check C3 D4 and looks like Q1 and do they "look" okay?
