Hi,

Some things to try to fix the problem or to prove that it is a hardware problem.

i). Wipe the cache partition and check if it works OK

ii). Start the phone in safe mode and check if it works OK. If it does then a downloaded app is the cause of the problem. The trick is to find out which one. You will need to uninstall each downloaded app, one by one and test the phone in normal mode between each uninstall, to see if it works OK. When it does then the last downloaded app that was uninstalled was the culprit. A downloaded app is one that you downloaded and installed and wasn’t pre-installed with the phone

iii). Try a hard reset (aka factory restore) to prove whether the problem is software or hardware related.

Be aware that a hard reset will erase all your data and downloaded apps. It will restore the phone to its factory default condition. Backup the phone to the cloud or a PC before performing the reset.

Also if the phone has a Google account, you will need to know the username and password to access the phone after it has been reset. This is due to the FRP lock (factory reset protection) being enabled by the reset.

If the phone works OK after the reset, restore the phone using the backup made earlier. After it has been restored, check that it still works OK. If it does then the reset has resolved the problem.

If the phone doesn’t work properly after the reset, it is a hardware problem.
