I have a Sanyo model #Dp42840 that turns on for a few seconds

I have a Sanyo TV model# Dp42840 that turns on for a few seconds but shuts right back off…Does not ever show the red light but will shine green light when power is on. I can't even get it to stay on long enough to program a universal remote to it
