I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-53 laptop. The charging light does work, and it is even fully charged, however pressing the power button does not cause any reaction what so ever, the keyboard doesnt light up, nor does the screen or the power led. I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and the cmos battery, and there is no change. Does anyone have a solution?

How old is the battery? If it’s original and the laptop is a few years old, the battery can do this as well as a dead CMOS battery — though it is usually a primary issue, and not the CMOS RAM (the laptops just reset the date/time and BIOS settings perpetually until you replace the CMOS battery).
If it starts without it, then there’s a bad cell.
If your battery looks like that well, you know what needs to be done to fix the problem. Get it out to protect your laptop from being damaged and replace it. BTW: I’m saving that one because I’m getting it done under warranty as a self-service, and HP wants it back. PLEASE do not keep it for any other reason than RMA purposes.
