LG Chocolate VX8575 digitizer replacement.

I dropped my LG Chocolate VX8575 on solid ground. It has never contacted water and I've never had problems before. Immediately after I retrieved it, the touch screen stopped working completely. The LCD is not broken or cracked, but I have no touch response. I have ordered the digitizer but would like some advice on replacing it. I have no service manual and have not been able to find one. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated

Daniel Carter, you will find a video that shows the LCD repair right here. May be not quite what you wanted but pretty close, I think. There is also a decent couple of pics from a replacement on here. The comments in that forum are really helpful for your tasks. There is also a decent guide about the digitizer replacement on here. Of course, if you would like to, you can download the service manual from here. It will pretty much explain everything you ever wanted to know about the phone, but the disassembly is a little sparse.
