Vizio M420SV - Is this a T-con board issue?

Hi,

I have a Vizio M420SV having display issues. My research on YouTube indicates that the issue lies with the T-con board. I am including images here showing what is happening with this TV.

I am great at computer repairs and do it n the side. Repairing TV on the other hand is new to me. I don’t expect to have any issues fixing it but I want the best guaranty I can get to insure that.

That is why I am here hoping to get some verification on what this issue is with this TV.

So, any advice will be greatly appreciated.

@pcruns that is NOT a T-con board issue. That is a panel issue. The very first thing you want to do is to check all your ribbon cables. Remove them and check the ends for corrosion. Clean the connectors with a few puffs of compressed air then reset the cables and see if that made a difference. If not then you will have to check the cables from the T-con board to the actual panel. Make sure those are OK. Ultimately this looks like an error on the LCD driver board which is (sort of) permanently attached to the LCD screen and cannot be readily replaced by a DIY’er.

Thank you for your answer. I doing what you suggest but the end of the week. A little busy right now. My research also suggested that it is the pannel. Hopefully your suggestions will bring it back to total life. I will let you know as soon as I get to this. Again Thanks!
