The paper jam is persistent for weeks

Thanks for your guidance here.
I read the comments above and I still have the problem liked shown in the picture.
The paper only goes so far but not through. It smells of burned paper and the red roll is showing marks of being a bit uneven (see pictures). Once I could fix the paper jam easily with just closing a door in the back but now the problem is so persistent that printing is impossible. The paper jam is persistent for weeks and we never made it work anymore.
QUESTIONS:
1. How to fix this when the picture implies that the red roll is damaged?
- Any other ideas how to fix it?
