Power and Volume button unresponsive

The Back and Front of the iPhone XR in question was damaged.

So to repair it I got a (Refurbished Apple) Frame and a Refurbished Display (Both are C11&F7C)

After swapping everything into the new housing, I tested it and it worked flawlessly. Then when I put the adhesive for the screen down and closed it up, the powerbutton no longer worked (volume did).

So, I opened it up, undid the cable and put it back in.

It worked again. and when I closed the phone again, neither the Volume nor the Powerbutton worked.

I have no clue what the issue is.

Are the clips of the screen putting any pressure on the connections of the buttons or preventing them from making good contact?

@smashedliam Not that I can tell.

Hmm seems like there may be some pressure preventing it from displaying correctly, is the frame warped or damaged or chipped at all? I also wouldn't trust the quality of a refurbished screen or aftermarket screen. Not often, but sometimes the screen will simply be the wrong shape for the frame and being forced into it will put too much pressure on the ICs on the screen.

Could be.

Decided to use the assistive Touch.
