If you could post pictures of the problem that would be helpful. But by the sounds of it, the screen needs replacement in order to fix those lines. As far as the cause of them I’m not sure. Is there any separation or gaps around the edge of the device? That could indicate a swollen battery which can cause damage to the display, resulting in these lines.
