How to align small metal bracket

What I really need to know is how do you align this small metal bracket when placing it on the adhesive back of the glas lcd/digitizer?

The bracket has a few small tabs that must line up with particular spaces in the case for the entire glass screen to line up and close. I know there are lines scribed onto the back of the lcd/digitizer assembly, but since my daughter's old glass was shattered in this area, I could not see how they lined up with the bracket.

The tolerances are so tight in the iTouch that I am being cautious - asking before blindly trying.
