I have a jet black iPhone 7 and i was wondering why the mic was not working. This just started happening. Please help! I have tried reseting it and i have NOT gave it to apple because i don’t know if apple will still repair iPhone 7

The most common cause is the flex that the mic is on is damaged, you can download an iPhone function test app from the app store and this should tell you what mic it is.
It is also common for the Audio IC chip to go bad in the iPhone 7’s, but due to it only being one mic I would say you just need that single flex replaced.
If you let me know the microphone the app says doesn’t work, then I can tell you what flex it belongs to and provide a guide to replace it if you feel up to it or you can at least tell a Repair Specialist exactly what part you want changing saving money on time and labour :)
